BRADFORD-ON-TONE CP STI2SE BRADFORD-ON-TONE-VILLAGE 5/34 Bradford Court II House. Mid C19, Coursed local stone rubble, ashlar dressings, quoins, string course and moulded plinth, plain clay tiled roof, coped verges with stepped kneelers, tall stone stacks. U-plan; entrance porch centre of south-east front service wing set back to north-east. Jacobean style. Entrance front: 2 storeys, 3;2;3 bays, stone mullioned and transomed windows with leading, gable ended outer bays containing on first floor single light windows flanking mullioned and transomed windows, 3-light windows centre, ground floor mullioned and transomed windows flanking single lights in end bays, projecting ashlar porch, cartouche and strapwork cresting above entablature of flat pilaster doorcase, semi-circular headed doorway with shields in spandrels, 8-panel double door; single bay re-entrant angles;service wing set back to right. Left return, south-west front, 2 storeys, aim feature 2 single storey projecting bays,left one canted with mullioned and transomed windows, riqht one rectangular with inserted French windows, both with strapwork and lettering above parapets in the manner of Oriel College Oxford. Interior not seen. Probably built for a member of the Eastern family.
