Inn, now house. Circa 1550, refronted late C17, further early C19 alterations. Timber framed, rendered, double Roman tile root, brick ridge stack to right, projecting rendered stack to left. Three storeys and attic, 2 bays. Central canted bay to second floor with exposed studwork under a tile pent, 3-light casement, each light with a pointed arch head, glazed spandrels. Two canted bays to first floor, exposed stud- work, C17 5-light mullioned; and transomed; windows; tiled pent with faciaboard extends over those 2 bays and under the second floor bayi between the bays a signboard under a triangular pediment. Ground floor set forward slightly under the first floor bays, 2 flush mounted 16-pane sash windows, central C20 plank door, tiled pent over. Two storey wing set back to right, broad door opening to ground floor, double plank doors. Evidence of jettying to first floor to right return of main block. Fine fireplace to right room of first floor dated 1672; exposed ceiling beams.
