15/12 Middle Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. C17 origin, early C19 alteration, further late C19 work. Coursed rubble, pantile roof, coped verges, 3 rendered stacks. Two storeys, 1:3 bays, predominantly 16-pane sash windows, cambered brick voussoirs, irregular dressed stone jambs, centre window on first floor with brick jambs; left bay with 3-light casement of first floor, wooden lintol. Door opening to centre of right 3 bays, 6-panelled door, chamfered stone surround with stopped label. Interior with cross-beared ceiling to left of ground floor; fireplace with wooden bressumer; fireplace in a dressed stone surround with a cambered head. Ground floor of left bay undergoing alteration at time of survey (July 1985).
