SELWORTHY VILLAGE Selworthy Cottage and wall abutting on south front returned to road

Cottage.Possibly C18,porch added and extensively altered mid C19.Roughcast over rubble and probably cob,plinth left,upper storey jettied out on brackets,half hipped thatched roofs,circular stacks rising on right return and at rear left.L-plan with full height porch set in angle,parallel range addition at rear.Two storeys, one:one:one bays;all ogee headed lights with decorative leading,left two-light with eaves swept down on either side,porch with lancet,two-light oriel right,ground floor three-light casements flanking porch,semicircular headed opening lancet on return,ogee headed ribbed inner door. Interior not seen.So picturesque that assumed to be mostly C19.Thatched cob wall abutting right,swept up over square headed doorway,about fifteen metres in length.(Photograph in NMR).
