14/166 Gate and gatepiers at East entrance to churchyard, Church of St Andrew -

GV II

Gate and gatepiers. 1863-5. Designed by John Norton. Gatepiers: dressed blue lias, ashlar limestone caps. Moulded cornice and plinth, pyramid top surmounted by foliage cluster, chamfered corners. Gate: cast iron, fleur de lys standards at outer ends, tripartite uprights, metal curved support on North West face. Similar design to that of piers and railings fronting Church of St Andrew (qv).
