7/15 Warter Farmhouse

II

House. Probably early C17 with mid-C19 parallel range: remodelled in C20. Ashlar to C17 work, brick elsewhere, pantiled roofs. Gable elevation of early house survives: 2 storeys. Ground floor has 3-light square-headed window with mullions and transom under stopped dripmould. 1st floor has similar windows of 4 narrower lights. Shaped gable with pediment and acroteria. Single-storey range to right has 2-light square-headed window under stopped dripmould. Incorrectly named as Southwold House on Ordnance Survey map.
