1017/15/32 SPRING ROAD 07-NOV-85 (East side) 2 THE MANOR HOUSE (Formerly listed as: FINKLE STREET 2 THE MANOR HOUSE)
II House. Late-C18. Red brick, slate roof. Two storeys and attics, 5 bays 2:1:2. Roman Doric doorcase with pilasters and entablature to 4-panel bolection-moulded door with overlight in panelled reveals and soffit, flanked by two 6-pane unequal sashes with sills under segmental brick arches. 1st floor has similar windows. End stacks, tumbled-in brick to plain close verges.
REASONS FOR DESIGNATION
The Manor House is designated at grade II for the following principal reasons:
* Age: It is a C18 house which largely retains its original form. * Architectural Detail: The house retains characteristic external decorative features such as the Roman Doric doorcase, 4-panel bolection-moulded door with overlight and sash windows.
