Late C17, extended to rear and refitted internally in 1833. 3 storeys, rendered with hipped pantile roof. 2:1 windows (1 in breakforward to right), hung sashes with glazing bars, rendered rusticated lintels with keystones. 2 windows to ground floor, hung sashes with glazing bars. Centre window to ground floor blocked. Plinth. Late C18 or early C19 doorway with channelled pilasters, consoles, lions' mask paterae and entablature, below segmental pediment. Door of 6 fielded panels, rectangular fanlight. Parapet and cornice. White brick C19 rear elevation. South bay has stag's head badge with 1833 datestone. Interior. Staircase in situ, but balusters and handrail in lower flights are of l883. Those in upper flight are probably late C17 of an extremely unusual bobbin pattern. Plain newels. Closed moulded string with pulvinated frieze. Some mid C18 balusters, turned below, fluted above, also re-used in C19 handrail in first floor rear. One early C18 panelled stone chimneypiece in attic, with delicate late C18 cast iron grate. High quality 1833 joinery surrounds.
