Details

1. 5268 HIGH STREET (North Side) No 100 (including former No 46 Market Place) TA 1767 NW 1/175 II GV 2. Late C19. 3 storeys and attics in red brick with dressings in ashlar and yellow brick. 1 round-headed dormer to both elevations. Welsh slate roof. High Street elevation has 2 windows to each floor, stone bands at impost height join moulded heads with carved keystones, no glazing bars, stone band at cills. Unusual shop front with carved pilasters with non-classical capitals, door to corner. Same shop front to Market Place elevation and 2 windows to each storey. Left hand section under same cornice and parapet has 4 small round-arched windows with yellow brick heads to top floor, band between storeys. 1st floor has a 4-light window with voussoirs in vitrified and yellow brick, band at cills. Ground floor has 1 arched window with similar voussoirs and doorway with similar head, blocked. Included as the end of a group, and for the shop front.

Nos 16 to 46 (even), 46A, 48 to 64 (even), 64A, 66 to 100 (even) form a group.
