TA 17 SE BEMPTON BUCKTON HALL
6/6 Cowhouse about 30 metres to south- west of Buckton Hall 30.6.66 (Formerly listed as Stable block at GV II Buckton Hall)
Pavilion, now cowhouse. 1744. Chalk ashlar on brick footings, with stone dressings. Swept pantiled roof with raised gables, stone coping and shaped kneelers. Rectangular building of symmetrical elevation, 1 storey, 3 bays. Windows and central doorway have alternating block jambs with flat heads and fanned keyblocks. C20 windows. Stub of quadrant wall survives on right side. Interior has axial timber arcade of round headed arches on Tuscan columns demarcating stalls.
