Farmhouse, now residential home. Early C19 with later C19 additions and alterations. Red-brown brick in Flemish bond. Welsh slate roof; concrete tiles to right extension. Plan: original section L-shaped on plan, with 2- room, central entrance-hall north front and wing to rear left; single-bay wing and rear addition set back to right, single-bay extension and rear wing to left. 2 storeys, 4 bays with original 3-bay symmetrical entrance front to right. Entrance has stone steps with moulded nosings to painted ashlar Doric doorcase with engaged columns carrying dosserets with plain frieze, moulded cornice and bracketed open segmental pediment. Half-glazed panelled double doors beneath moulded lintel and fanlight with central round light in round-headed panelled reveal. Single early C19 ground-floor canted bay windows to either side with 12-pane front sashes and 8-pane side sashes in architraves with continuous sills beneath moulded cornices and low hipped roofs. Later left bay has inappropriate C20 2-light casement in original C19 flush wooden architrave with sill and channelled wedge lintel with carved key. First floor: three 16-pane sashes to original section and 12- pane sash to left bay, all with architraves and sills beneath channelled wedge lintels with carved keys. Moulded wooden eaves cornice, corniced gutter. Hipped roof. Ridge stack to left with cogged brick eaves cornice, truncated side wall stack to right. Range set back to right has small single C20 casement in original C19 flush wooden architrave with sill beneath brick cambered arch, roof hipped to right. Left return: front range has pilastered doorcase with bracketed hood and inserted C20 2-light window above brick blocking, single first-floor 4-pane sash with sill beneath cambered channelled and keyed wedge lintel. Slightly higher 2-storey 2- window wing to left has canted ground-floor bay with pilasters, bracketed hood and hipped roof, 4-pane ground- and first-floor sashes with sills beneath channelled and keyed cambered wedge lintels, hipped roof, corniced side wall stack. Interior. Early C19 details include: ribbed cornices to main rooms and halls, plasterwork ceiling roundels to entrance hall and stairhall; elliptical arch with ribbed archivolt to entrance hall, marble chimney-piece to ground floor right flanked by round-headed alcoves with ribbed archivolts. Open-well staircase with moulded handrail, turned balusters. Later C19 chimney-piece, plasterwork cornice and ceiling to rear wing.
