Inn. Includes stable range and adjoining section fronting onto Albion Hill. Mid C18 with later alterations, including widening and resetting openings, stuccoeing to main range; later C18 - C19 ranges to right. Brick: main range stuccoed, ranges to right colour-washed, with stucco plinth. Brick stacks, Welsh slate roofs throughout. Main range has double-depth 3-room plan with entrance hall to right of centre; two 2-room sections to right with blocked entrances. Main range: 2 storeys, 4 first-floor windows. Tall moulded plinth incised in imitation of ashlar. Quoins. Entrance has flight of steps with wrought-iron balustrade of plain rails with wreathed handrail, doorcase with pilasters carrying entablature with moulded cornice and shallow hood, recessed panelled door and 3-pane overlight. Single 16-pane sash to right and similar pair of sashes to left in flush wooden architraves with moulded stucco surrounds. First floor: similar 16-pane sashes to left and right, pair of original 12-pane sashes to centre, all in similar surrounds to ground floor. Moulded eaves cornice. Stone-coped gables. Rebuilt axial stack to right, partly projecting end stack to left. Range adjoining to right: low 2 storeys, angled on street corner with single window to each face. Plinth. 12-pane sash in blocked segmental-headed former doorway, 16-pane sash to left in flush wooden architrave, C20 name board to first floor; section to right (Albion Street front) has inserted C20 ground-floor casement, 12-pane first-floor sliding sash. Higher 2- storey single first-floor window range adjoining to right: blocked segmental-headed door to right, with inserted C20 window and blocked segmental-headed window to left; 16-pane first-floor sash in flush wooden architrave beneath stucco flat arch. Range continues over carriage entrance to right, adjoining a single-storey and attic stable/granary range, gable end to street, with board door and wrought-iron letters "S L" on gable.
