6/22 Mount Pleasant Mill - 29.5.58 - II
Windmill tower. 'E L 1875' on ground floor door lintel. Tarred red brick with wooden cap. Circular tower, 4 storeys. 2 doors: one under inscribed lintel approached by C20 steps, other approached by ramp. 2 segmental- headed windows to each floor, all with iron glazing bars and central hinged casement. Cogged eaves cornice. Ogee cap (patched with aluminium sheet), with framework for fan-tail, cast-iron cross-tree and ball finial. Contains full working gear. The tower forms a notable feature in the landscape.
