2. 1767, north half rebuilt 1921-2. Red brick walls, pantile roof, shuttered windows. 4000 yards long. Queen post roof truss with collar beam. In use for manufacturing ropes up to 44" circumference, formerly of hemp, now of sisal. Right-hand extension has moulded gable end to road with mansard roof of pantiles. Part rebuilt. Brick dentil eaves cornice. Segmental-headed windows and door to side elevation, 2 windows of 3 lights, modern glazing and door with round-headed radiating fanlight. Road elevation has circular window above segmental-headed hoist door with keystone and 1 window. 2 windows and 1 modern to ground. Dated I.H.1807. This section is linked to the main ropewalk by a modern building.
