Details
SNAITH AND COWICK MARKET PLACE SE 6422 (north side) 12/70 No 22 GV II House. Mid C18. Yellow brick with red brick dressings. Pantile roof. Double-depth, 2-room central entrance-hall plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Moulded plinth. Quoins. 2 stone steps to C20 door and over light beneath brick flat arch, flanked by C19 4-pane sashes in original flush wooden frames and red brick surrounds with sills and painted flat arches. Twin single-course first-floor brick bands. Pair of similar first- floor windows and central dummy window with painted glazing bars beneath painted brick soldier arches. Stepped and ovolo-moulded 3-course brick eaves cornice. Raised brick-coped gables. End stacks: C20 rebuilt to left, partly rebuilt to right. Interior: re-set open well staircase with ramped corniced handrail and column-on-vase balusters with square knops; fielded- panel doors.
