FRENCH ROW 1. (West Side) 1582 No 1 (The Fleur de Lis Public House) TL 1407 SE 9/74 8.5.50.
II GV
2. Early C18 brick facade added to ancient inn which was already built by 1350. 2 storeys. 4 windows. High pitched, tiled roof has deep eaves soffit with modillions. Brick band at 1st floor. Near-flush box frames to sash windows replaced in C19. Some very heavy old timberwork survives in carriageway at ground floor left. RCHM VCH NMR Nos 1 to 5 (odd) and No 9 form a group.
