Farmhouse. Early C16 hall house, altered and floored in later C17. Timber frame. Cement-rendered with combed pargetting in panels. Half-hipped plain tile roof with massive C17 red brick chimney stack at centre. 2 storeys. 3 C20 glazing bar casements. C20 door beneath stack. Gabled tiled door hood with slender early Cl9 cast iron columns. Rear elevation shows a central gabled stair tower behind the stack, and at N single- storey C17-18 service extension with large oven stack on gable end. The interior is 4 bays. Former hall to right of stack, parlour bay to left; mid C16 extension on left end; service bay on right end. Hall ground floor has fine late C17 bolection- moulded panelling, enriched cornice and eared fire surround; 2- panelled door and panelled carving to beam. C17 turned balusters to stair landing. Heavy curved braces in walls and heavy jointed post in SW corner to 1st floor.
