Farmhouse. Early C18 front range (said to be 1705), extended at rear c.1800. Front range is in vitrified and plain red brick, partly chequered; back range plain brick. Plain tile roofs. Parapeted gable ends with internal stacks. Front has 5 c.1800 sash windows with flat gauged lintels. Central 1st floor window with scalloped lintel. Central door bricked in. Floor band. Chequered brick bands below the windows; vitrified brick panels between them. Chequered brick left elevation with blocked narrow windows. 3 gabled casement dormers. Interior has original fielded panelling. 2 fireplaces with rounded brick backs, the main one with C17 painted panel above. L-shaped outbuildings adjoin at rear. Mainly early C19, they include a small stable with plastered walls. The house is said to have been built as a hunting lodge.
