GV II
Outbuildings. Middle part C16 2-bays cottage, C18 3-bays woodshed at W, C18 2-bays stable at E. Timber frames on low brick sills, middle part roughcast on S front, dark weatherboarded woodshed and stable. N side of middle part cased in C18 red brick in header bond. Steep thatched roof hipped at N end and stepped along its length. A long narrow range enclosing S side of yard with cottage facing S but stable and open-fronted woodshed facing N. 1 1/2-storeys cottage of 2 structural bays with winding stair in NE, living room in N bay with axial beam, large open fireplace in chimney projecting into S bay with small larder to N of it. External door to narrow storehouses behind chimney in S bay. 2-lights casement window to left of door into N bay. Upper floor boarded but not now lit, and chimney capped off below roof. Interior has exposed frame in all walls and remains of wattle-and-daub infill above later flint gable wall at S end of house. Jowled posts and long straight braces. Quadrant braces to open front of wood store. Small door in rear wall giving acess to garden on S and to cottage. Stable at N has 2 small windows and plank door between. Unjowled posts and clasped-purlin roof. Stabling for 3 horses. 2 windows high up at rear.
