House. Early C17. Timber frame on red brick sill. Roughcast at
rear but front has C19 red brick diagonal nogging. Steep old red
tile roofs. A small T-plan 2-storeys house facing W, with 2-bay
hall range now reduce to one and a half storeys with gable
dormer at rear, and 2 storeys, 2-bay N crosswing, projecting to
rear. Large external side-chimney to crosswing on N, and large
internal gable chimney on S. Boarded door under lean-to tiled
canopy on brackets with C19 casement window to right, and gable
of crosswing to left. This has C19 bargeboard, casement upper
window of slight projection on brackets, and gabled rectangular
bay window below with C19 cast iron lattice casements. The
cross-beam in the hall is original, with hollow chamfer and bar-
stops, carrying chamfered and hollow stopped joists.
