North Barn at Great Barwick Farm (50m to NW of house)

Barn. Mid C16. Timber frame on low brick sill, dark
weatherboarded under a steep pitched roof formerly thatched now
of corrugated iron. A short 5-bay barn facing S with small N
door in middle bay and formerly double doors opposite on S, now
transferred to E end. Jowled posts with long curved braces to
tie-beams, and a clasped-purlin roof on queen-post trusses. Wall
studs rise to eaves without a rail at mid height.
