Block of 2 houses. C18 or earlier. Timber frame roughcast with
weatherboarding on N end as apron and apex of gable. Dark
pantiled roof with red brick shared central chimney. Originally
one room deep with single-storey rear outshut but rear heightened
to 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2-storeys front with one window to
each house on each floor and doors next outer corners. 3/3 flush
sash windows widely separated, the lower ones abutting simple
early C19 doorcases with moulded architrave, frieze and flat
hood. Original 5-panel flush beaded door to No 18 on N. Unusual
combed pargetting over side door of No 20. Modern rear extensions
not of special interest.
