2/21 Garden Lodge and West Lodge at - Coles Park
GV II
Gatelodge, now 2 houses. 1909 possibly incorporating a C19 lodge, for Greg family of Coles Park. Roughcast on stucco plinth. Hipped slate roofs with wide eaves overhangs and plastered soffits. A large single-storey cruciform lodge in Queen Anne style facing N. Taller square central block with pyramidial roofs and central red brick chimney with 4 tall grouped octagonal shafts with moulded bases and spurred caps. Lower axial rear wing extends to S. Half-octagonal projections on N and E with windows in each face, and semicircular classical porch on W with slender Doric columns and pilasters raised on platform with 2 semi-circular moulded stone steps. Twin plank doors. 2-panel oak door in front of N projection. Narrow flush box sash windows with segmental headed lights matching the opening and drip over.
