- II
Parish church, mid-C14 building in flint rubble with mid-C15 west tower of three stages, embattled parapet and small spire. Considerable restoration in C19 when south porch was rebuilt, north organ chamber added and most of the windows renewed. The north and south doorsways are original, and the south door has some good C14 tracery. Lofty interior, but many of the fittings were removed at restoration. Among those which remain are part of the chancel screen incorporated in the modern tower screen, an unusual C13 black marble slab in tomb recess with foliated cross and symbols of the Four Evangelists in high relief, and an early C17 brass of the two wives of Francis Rowley.
