Well-house and well. C18 well house to older well now capped in concrete over red brick square curb. Oak timber-framed square wellhouse open at sides with a steep pyramid roof of old red tiles. About 3m x 3m on plan. A low-sided building approached up five brick steps from North. Curved braces support eaves from square corner posts. Roof rises with heavy corner rafters. Well-head of oak integrated with framework of wellhouse and has a large wooden hand-wheel with four spokes supported on a timber tresstle with brake lever. Long wooden drum spanning wellhead has an iron toothed wheel driven by gearing on the trestle, and has spokes to guide the rope. An unusual survival.
