Barn. Early C17. Timber frame on low tarred brick sill, black weatherboarded with a steep pitched roof now covered in black corrugated iron. A tall 5 bay barn facing N alongside road with double doors on each side in middle bay. Swept jowled posts and long curved braces to cambered tie-beams. Inclined queen struts to slender principals. A single butt-purlin toeach slope, jointed in line, with added strainers at mid bay. Mid-height rail in walls,tenoned in line; with small tension braces to lower part of corner posts. Separate doorposts. Prominent feature at entrance to village conservation area.
