GV II
Inn, now a public house. Early C18, brick front early C19, N end brick cased later C19, and S end stuccoed. Red brick painted at front and N end, stucco painted at S end. Timber frame coachhouse dark weather- boarded with red brick casing to ground floor. Steep old red tile hipped roofs. 2-cells, 3 storeys, lobby-entry, internal chimney plan building facing E with cellar under and 2-storeys contemporary rear wing at N end of rear wall having a chimney at the junction with the first range. 2 parallel hipped roofs behind a parapet over the front range. E front has 2 windows on each floor and a blind central recess on each upper floor above 6-panel door in renewed pedimented doorcase. Square windows to 2nd floor with recessed sashes, 3/3 panes, flat gauged arches and stone sills. Wider and taller triple-sash windows to 1st floor with similar flat arches and stone sills. 2 wide canted bays to ground floor with glazing bars only in upper sashes, and flat tops. Half-glazed C19 door on N side in canted bay with flanking sashes of 6/6 panes. Lower 2-storeys coachhouse attached at NW corner of rear wing, faces E with double doors and S part now an entrance to bar. Upper level door at N end.
