House, formerly two dwellings. Early C17, extended mid to late C17,
refronted mid C18, altered and extended C19 and C20. Timber frame with
red brick casing. Tiled roofs. 3 bay front. 2 storeys. 2 broadly spaced
3 light flush frame timber casements to each floor, each light has a
segmentally arched head, ground floor cambered heads. Entrance in right
bay. Dentilled brick eaves. Roof hipped to right. Axial cruciform stack
between 2 left bays. Second entrance in lean-to addition to left. Left
gable end has exposed struts to collar clasping purlins. To rear left a
slightly lower 2 storey wing. An early stack with offsets, originally
external, now in C20 catslide roofed lean-to addition to left. To rear
double gabled later C17 block, ground floor brick, first floor
weatherboarded with 3 light casements, external stack to right.
Interior: ovolo moulded binding beam. (RCHM Typescript).
