City of London Coal Duty Marker. 1861. Cast by H. Grissell, Regents Canal Ironworks. Cast-iron square pier, one and a half metres high. Chamfered corners. Pyramidal cap. City of London crest on necking. Raised lettering on front face of shaft '24 and 25 Vict/Cap 42'. Marked extent of coal duty. to boundaries of Metropolitan Police District.
