GV II
Farmhouse. 1727 with mid-C19 and some late C20 alterations. Sandstone ashlar and brick with hipped tile roof. Two storeys, with attic lit by two flat- roofed dormers; five windows: three narrow windows blocked, with between them two wider 4-light casements, all under segmental heads; ground floor: two similar windows; central entrance has wooden architrave, a triangular canopy on wooden brackets, radially glazed fanlight and four flush panelled door; contemporary lean-tos against each return front. The date 1727 is said to have been scratched on a sandstone block adjoining the entrance (now worn away). Interior: staircase has turned balusters, moulded handrail, closed and moulded string.
