Details
BROOME CP BROOME SO 97 NW The Dower House 8/5 - II House. C17, extended mid-C19 with some mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick infill, extended in painted brick, with machine tile roof. L-plan, limbs extending,to south and west. North front: one storey with attic lit by a 2-light casement in gable to left end. Two gabled dormers to right. Ground floor of two by two windows, mainly 2-light casements with plank weather- ings. Entrance to right of cross-wing has a C19 gabled tiled porch with ledged and boarded door. Framing: three square panels with straight angle braces. Gable-end truss has three struts to collar with V-struts in apex.
