9/50 Upper Bentley Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C17, extended late C18 with some mid-C20 alterations. Timber- frame with brick infill, extended in painted brick, with tile roof. T-plan, rear wing to south-west of three framed bays, cross-wing aligned north-east/ south-west C18 addition, C18 part has gable-end stacks, lateral stack on timber-framed range south-east wall has been truncated. North-west (farm- yard) front: two 2-light casements under segmental heads, flank another segmentally-headed casement in position of blocked entrance. Main entrance now in north-east front. Framing: three square panels high to first floor, ground floor probably originally close-studded.
