II
Farmhouse, now house. C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with painted brick infill on sandstone and brick plinth, painted brick additions; machine-tiled roof. Two framed bays aligned north/south with lobby-entry plan formed by central chimney with brick ridge stack; small framed single-bay addition at north end and large C19 single-bay brick addition at south end with end stack; both additions continue main roofline. Single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate; long straight braces in lower corners, no trusses visible. East front elevation: original part has a ground floor canted bay window, with hipped roof and leaded lights, and a C19 single-light window; two gabled dormers with 2-light casements and a skylight; central entrance has a C20 gabled timber porch and a half-glazed door. C19 addition to right has two ground floor 2-light C20 casements and a gabled dormer also with a 2-light casement. Attic lights in right gable end. Interior: stop- chamfered main ceiling beams. Large fireplace in original north bay. C20 single-storey addition at right end.
