GV II

Includes Penny Pit, Llanwarne CP. Farmhouse. Probably C17 with early C19 alterations. Sandstone rubble finished partly in render, Welsh slate roof, large rubble side stack to west and brick stack to east side. Rectangular plan aligned roughly north/south. Cellar with two storeys. East entrance elevation has one window, a 2-light early C19 window to first floor and beneath it a restored 3-light chamfered mullioned window, probably C17; to the right is a glazed mid-C20 entrance porch beyond which projects, at right angles to the front, a large three-storey early C19 hipped roofed wing with three bays of segmental-headed windows. West elevation has segmentally-headed early C19 casements mainly with three lights. Interior of eastern three-storey projecting wing contains large plaster cowl rising from ground floor brick furnace to first floor level. Farm buildings associated with Penny Pit are listed under Llanwarne CP.
