Details
GRAFTON CP BULLINGHOPE SO 53 NW 2/28 Church Cottage GV II Farmhouse, now house. Probably C17 with later alterations. Timber- frame with brick and plaster infill. Tile roofs and brick stacks. T-plan with main range aligned north-east/south-west and cross-wing attached to north-east end. Two storeys. North elevation has 1:1 windows and gable front to left. Gable has 12-pane mid-C19 window to first floor and 3-light mid-C20 casement to ground floor. Attached to right-hand side of gable front is a lean-to porch with pointed arch lead- ing to C19 ledged inner door. Frame is four panels high from cill to wall- plate. Gable front has angle struts from corner posts to tie above which the gable is divided into lozenges by intersecting diagonal struts. Interior not inspected. (RCHM, Vol I, p 83).
