about 10 yards south-
east of the south porch
of the Church of St Cuthbert
GV II
Churchyard cross. Probably C14 with early C20 restorations. Sandstone ashlar.
Three steps are C20. Medieval base has chamfered upper edges and stump of
octagonal shaft about two feet tall. Upper part of shaft and cross are C20.
Step has inscription to six men of the parish who fell in The Great War.
