GV II

Farmhouse, now dwelling. C17 or early C18, extended later in C18. Timber-frame rendered to south, slate roof, brick end stack to right, enveloped former external stone stack to left, with brick shafts. Two storeys, three bays aligned roughly east/west. South elevation: three windows, mainly mid-C20 casements, and C19 glazing bar casement to centre, entrance under gabled porch to its left. Rather later and lower timber- framed range attached to left: one storey and attic, one window to south side. Interior: run-out chamfer stops to beams in right hand ground floor room; roof of extension has two sets of V-struts, forming disconnected "W"s from ties to principals. Despite its unpromising appearance this building retains a complete frame. Previously known as Pikestye Farmhouse.
