Cottage. Probably late C17 to early C18. Deep sandstone rubble plinth, timber-frame with brick and plaster infill, tiled roof, two external stone stacks with brick shafts, one to rear and one to left gable. Two unequal structural bays. Cellar with one storey and attic. Two windows, ground floor has two wrought-iron casements, perhaps C18 or early C19 to left and right and a 2-light fixed C20 window to left of centre, two gabled late C19 dormers with 2-light casements. Lean-to catslide extension, probably C18, to rear envelopes side stack. Entry in glazed C20 porch to rear. Frame is three panels high from plinth to wall-plate and has angle struts from top of the post dividing the two bays; cellar entry in front side of plinth. (RCHM Vol II, p 184).
