CLIFTON UPON TEME - SO 66 SE 1/10 Two barns about 30 metres south west of Hope Farmhouse GV II
Two barns. First half of C18. Timber-frame with brick infill on rubble plinth, continuous plain tiled roof. Both barns have square panelled framing, 3 high to wall-plate, and straight tension braces on front away from farmyard. Left barn: 4 structural bays, opposed threshing doors to left of centre, irregular openings to right; raking strut roof without collars, with heavy curved braces to tie-beam from sill, and spurs to wall posts. Right barn: 4 structural bays, gabled central loft entry, raking strut roof trusses.
