2. C17. Stuccoed timber framing. Tiled roof. Parapet. 3 storeys. Top floor projects on east front with heavy moulded bressummer on shaped brackets. 4 widely-spaced windows. Sashes with glazing bars. Late Victorian shop front extending almost whole width and continuing around corner. On right hand of front in High Street is an arched opening with date 1803 over it. Extension beyond of 2 storeys, stuccoed above and colourwashed brick below with 2 widely-spaced sash windows, right hand side of 1st floor projects slightly with moulded bressummer broken by a 5-light sash window with panelled shutters. Moulded beam in passage to back yard. A door post with an attached Ionic column was in 1932 preserved in a shed at the back. RCHM (22).
Nos 21 to 23 (consec), The Feathers Hotel Nos 26 and 27 and St Katherine's Chapel and Hall form a group.
