Details

EARDISLEY CP off A 4111 (west side) SO 35 SW 3/43 Barn adjoining Little Quebb Farmhouse to the north-east GV II Barn. Probably C17. Timber-framed and weatherboarded on rubble base with stone-tiled roofs laid in diminishing courses. Four framed bays aligned north-west/south-east; wagon bay with opposed cart entries and double doors situated in second bay from south-east end with gabled midstrey on south- west side. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior: wall-framing has three panels from sill to wall-plate. Intermediate arch-braced tie-beam trusses with raking struts and two tiers of trenched purlins. (RCHM, III, p 55, item 32).
