Details
HOPE UNDER DINMORE CP HOPE UNDER DINMORE SO 55 SW 5/67 Bury of Hope Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Mid-C18 with possibly earlier origins and mid-C19 alterations. Part coursed sandstone rubble, part handmade brick with ashlar dressings, faced with stucco. Plain tiled roof with central brick ridge stack and brick stack at west end. Two storeys with ashlar and three-course brick bands between main storeys and dentilled eaves cornice to front. Six bays with end quoins. Windows have ashlar hoodmoulds with returns and ashlar sills. There are three 16-pane sashes, a narrow rectangular 4-pane sash and a C19 canted bay window with a central 12-pane sash on the ground floor. On the first floor are four 16-pane sashes and two narrow rectangular sashes. Main entrance in bay 5 has a flat moulded ashlar canopy on moulded ashlar brackets, a a panelled door and a transom light with three glazing bars.
