Farmhouse. Probably C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame and sand-
stone rubble. Hipped tiled roof with brick stacks. Irregular plan with
garden front to south-east. Two storeys. South-east elevation has 0:4
windows with gable wing to left. Right part has two early C20 casements
of two lights, one to left and one to centre set in render. To right is
a 2-light steel mid-C20 casement on sandstone rubble. Entry with ledged
mid-C19 door in right return of gable wing. North-east side has
some exposed framing. Interior noted as having wall-framing and deeply
chamfered ceiling beams forming panels in room to south-west end of longest
range. (RCHM, Vol III, p 214).
