11/67 Mill Stream Cottage [formerly listed as 20.2.53 Bridge Cottages (Old School House and Whipping Post)]

GV II

House. C17, with some mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame with rendered infill on a coursed rubble plinth under a tile roof. Three framed bays aligned north/south, with stack on south side of the central bay. West front of one storey with attic lit by four dormers, three gabled, that to left of centre has a lean-to roof. Ground floor has three 2-light casements. Entrance to left of centre has a plain wooden architrave and a ledged and boarded door. Framing: jettied to north gable, which is close-studded with a mid-rail. There are curved brackets to the jetty. Side wall frames, four square panels high. Gable-end truss has a king-post and raking struts.
