13/43 Vartry House
GV II
House. C16, extended early C19 with some early C20 alterations. Timber- frame with rendered infill extended in painted brick with tile roof. Three bays aligned north/south, that to north added in C19. Chimney stack to north gable of original two bays, with brick shaft. South front of two storeys with 2-light casement over a 3-light casement. Entrance in left- hand wall with lean-to tiled canopy and half-glazed door. Framing exposed in west wall, four square panels high, probably jettied to street originally. C20 false framing on street gable. Interior has exposed chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
