Public house. C17, late C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Timber- framed with sandstone rubble plinth, part wattle-and-daub and part painted brick infill, rendered to entrance front; part tiled and part Welsh slate roof with hip at south-east end. Rectangular plan aligned north-west/south east with single-storey addition to north-west and C19 and C20 additions to rear and to south-east end. Main axial stack and further gable-end stack, two entrances to south-west front; probably originally jettied on this front but this has now been underbuilt. Two storeys flanked by single-storey additions. One single vertical glazing bar sash window to addition to left. Main block with one 3-light casement window, two similar 2-light windows and a pair of similar windows to first floor. The ground floor has a pair of sash windows with single vertical glazing bars and two further sash windows to the left of a canted bay window which is flanked by two partly glazed doors, all under a penticed roof supported on brackets. Small light in lean- to later addition to right. Interior is altered. The square panelled timber- framing is revealed to the rear and partly to the interior.
