10/55 Nurses Cottage and Rowena Cottage (formerly listed as range of three 19.8.53 tenements east of and adjoining Russell's Radio Shop)

GV II

Range of two tenements. C17 with C20 alterations. Timber-framed with part wattle-and-daub and part painted brick infill on sandstone rubble plinth; Welsh slate roof. Five framed bays aligned east/west with lateral stacks to rear and entrances to south front. Two storeys; seven 2-light casement windows on first floor and ground floor with two similar windows to left of ledged door; further ledged door with steps up; four irregularly spaced 2-light C20 and C19 windows to the right. (RCHM, Vol III, p 165, item 13).
