Details
BECKFORD CP GRAFTON SO 9635 - 9735 11/37 Cherry Orchard Cottage GV II
House. C17 with mid- to late C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with brick infill on limestone rubble base, rendered at east end with some brick replacement walling; thatched roof with brick stack at east end of ridge. Two framed bays aligned east/west with large chimney at east end forming baffle-entry plan. Single storey and attic. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate of south elevation, two panels from sill to wall- plate in north elevation. No trusses visible. South front elevation: windows are all C20 casements of two lights. There is one ground floor window and two eyebrow dormers, one per bay. Main entrance to right has a C20 door. Attic lights in gable ends. There is a C20 single-storey flat- roofed garage addition at the east end with a garage door in its south elevation.
