GV II

House, now two shops. Mid-C19 with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Brick, hipped slate roof behind tall embattled parapet and with central and end brick stacks to main roof. Two storeys with moulded eaves cornice; 1:2:1 bays, the central two bays project slightly. Gothic detailing. Front elevation: first floor windows have gauged flat heads and are multi- paned casements with pointed arched lights; the outer bays have 2-light windows and the central bays have 3-light windows; at ground floor level are two shop fronts, with plate glass windows flanking mid-C19 doorcases; the doors are situated on the outer edges of the central bays and have flat canopies and pilastered surrounds; the left side door is half-glazed with pointed arched tracery; the right side door is C20 and glazed. The building has been extended and altered to the rear. Despite alterations to ground floor and rear, still with sufficient architectural interest with its Gothic windows and embattled parapet; the ground floor alterations are not irredeemable.
