II*
Small country house/villa. Late C18, C19 and c1967. Brick, in header bond, stone cornice, slate roofs behind parapet. Georgian villa of 3 storey on cellar,3 bay front with full height bays to either end, 2 bay deep with wings to rear behind end bays with to right wing C19 ballroom added and to left wing C20 range in place of older service range. W front is on plinth containing openings in end bays to cellar. Central doorway with painted stone Doric porch infilled C19 with 2/3 glazed double doors and windows to sides on top step of flight of 3 stone steps in front of narrow slightly projecting central bay. Each side in wide bays C18 12-pane sash with rubbed brick head and C19 sliding louvred shutters. Above porch tall 8-large-pane sash to landing, and each side C18 12-pane sash. On 2nd floor C18 6-pane sashes. All windows have rubbed brick arches and stone sills. Pointed dentilled stone cornice and low parapet with stone coping. To left end full height round bay with curved windows similar to those in side bays. To right end full height canted bay with on 1st floor early C19 timber floored, wrought iron and tented lead-roofed verandah balcony. Above this bay on roof unusual C19 weathervane. Interior C18 altered C19 with behind central bay full-height open well staircase set longitudinally.
